About Us
Chikaya is rooted in a lifelong connection to Africa, shaped by years in the field and a deep commitment to meaningful, responsible safari experiences.
A traveler at heart, with endless curiosity, a deep love for the wild, and a passion for wildlife photography.
My connection to Africa began early. At 16, I had the opportunity to live in South Africa — and something about it stayed with me. The vast landscapes, the stillness of the bush, the raw beauty of nature. From that moment on, Africa never really let me go.
Over the years, I’ve traveled through most of Southern Africa, exploring its diverse ecosystems, meeting incredible people, and deepening my understanding of the land and its wildlife. What started as fascination slowly grew into a calling.
Eventually, I decided to follow that calling and fulfill a long-held dream: completing my FGASA field guide course and training professionally in the bush. It was more than a qualification — it was a commitment to sharing this world with others in a meaningful and responsible way.
Today, guiding isn’t just about spotting wildlife. It’s about creating moments of connection — to nature, to place, and to something bigger than ourselves. Chikaya is a reflection of that journey: rooted in friendship, driven by curiosity, and inspired by the wild spaces that feel like home.

Legal basis: We process your data for the purpose of taking steps prior to brokering and arranging contracts for you (in accordance with your booking request) and for the performance of a contract (travel brokerage) in accordance with Art 6 (1) (b) GDPR. Retention period: We store your data for the duration of the contractual relationship and thereafter as required by statutory retention obligations. In general, we are legally obliged to retain booking and contract data for 7 years.
